November 4, 2025, Beijing, China – Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI), a leading global semiconductor company, officially released a major upgrade to its open-source embedded development platform, CodeFusion Studio 2.0. The platform is designed to simplify and accelerate the development of AI-enabled embedded systems by introducing advanced hardware abstraction, seamless AI integration, and powerful automation tools, helping developers complete the full workflow from concept to deployment on ADI's full range of processors and microcontrollers.
The new version adds end-to-end AI workflow support, allowing developers to bring their own models and deploy them on various hardware, from low-power edge devices to high-performance DSPs. The platform features built-in model compatibility checking and performance analysis tools, ensuring robust deployment and significantly shortening development cycles.
A new modular framework based on Zephyr enables runtime AI/ML performance profiling and layer-by-layer analysis. Seamless integration with ADI's heterogeneous platforms effectively reduces system complexity. Furthermore, unified configuration tools and multi-core application support further simplify development across heterogeneous systems, while integrated debugging capabilities enhance troubleshooting efficiency.
Rob Oshana, Senior Vice President of Software and Digital Platforms at ADI, stated that the platform significantly improves the developer experience by consolidating fragmented AI workflows, enabling them to focus on innovation and accelerate time-to-market.
The release of CodeFusion Studio 2.0 embodies ADI's strategy of creating 'developer-first' tools. Future developments will continue to advance embedded intelligence, providing a more comprehensive development environment and feature support for physical AI.
