Smartsens Launches 50MP 0.7μm Image Sensor SC535XS to Enhance Smartphone Imaging Performance

Smartsens Technology has officially released the SC535XS, a 50-megapixel CMOS image sensor with 0.7μm pixel size for smartphones. Based on Smartsens' SmartGain™ SL Pro technology platform and incorporating patented technologies including PixGaIn™ HDR, SiCPlus4™ SL, and AllPD™ focus, the sensor significantly improves dynamic range, noise control, focus speed, and power consumption, enabling higher-quality imaging in flagship smartphones.

The SC535XS supports approximately 80dB high dynamic range and enables 4K high-frame-rate HDR video capture while effectively suppressing motion blur. With a sensitivity of 190 mV/LUX·s and read noise below 1e—approximately 46% lower than industry averages—it significantly enhances image quality in night scenes and low-light conditions. The sensor integrates AllPD™ and Smart PD dual focusing systems, achieving fast and accurate autofocus in various lighting conditions while maintaining high performance and power efficiency.

Additionally, the SC535XS supports on-chip Remosaic technology, reducing reliance on smartphone SoC computational resources and improving image processing efficiency. Its excellent low-power characteristics help extend battery life and minimize heating during recording, ensuring stable performance for high-resolution video and multi-frame capture.

The launch of this sensor further expands Smartsens' product portfolio in the high-end mobile imaging sector, providing a core hardware foundation for next-generation smartphone camera systems.
