December 24, 2025, Shanghai, China — Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation announced the launch of the 'TC75W71FU,' a dual-channel CMOS comparator designed for overcurrent detection in industrial equipment. Featuring high-speed response and rail-to-rail (full-range) input and output capabilities, the product aims to meet the urgent need for fast and accurate overcurrent protection in industrial motor drives and power circuits.
As industrial equipment evolves toward higher efficiency and miniaturization, the allowable current and voltage ranges for circuits are narrowing, placing greater demands on the response speed and accuracy of overcurrent detection. The new TC75W71FU offers significantly lower propagation delay compared to existing models, with a maximum low-to-high delay of 45 nanoseconds and a maximum high-to-low delay of 30 nanoseconds. This enables instant detection and shutdown in response to abnormal currents, effectively enhancing system safety.
The comparator supports a wide operating voltage range from 1.8V to Vcc, and its rail-to-rail input and output capabilities simplify system design. With a push-pull output structure, the device delivers short signal rise and fall times, maintaining stable voltage levels without requiring external pull-up resistors. This improves its noise immunity and reliability in complex industrial environments.
The new product is now available for shipment and will provide an efficient circuit protection solution for applications such as industrial automation, motor control, and power management.
