Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) recently announced the comprehensive integration of its edge sensing, precision motion control, and connectivity technologies with the NVIDIA® Jetson Thor™ platform. This collaboration aims to advance the development of physical intelligence and real-time reasoning capabilities in humanoid robots and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), accelerating their scalable deployment from simulation to real-world applications.
The Jetson Thor platform, NVIDIA's latest robotics computing solution, features a Blackwell architecture GPU, Transformer Engine, and a 14-core Arm Neoverse V3AE CPU, supporting up to 128GB of LPDDR5X memory. It delivers server-level AI computing performance within mobile-level power consumption. The platform enables large-scale operation of various foundational robot models, including vision-language-action models, empowering robots to go beyond environmental perception and achieve real-time reasoning and autonomous decision-making capabilities.
Leveraging its expertise in sensing, power integrity, and deterministic connectivity, ADI integrates its technologies with Jetson Thor's high computational power and the Isaac Sim simulation environment. This synergy provides robots with high-precision control and real-time multi-modal data processing support, facilitating reliable physical interactions in real-world scenarios.
This collaboration marks a significant step in transitioning humanoid robots from laboratory research to commercial applications, offering next-generation intelligent robotics solutions for manufacturing, logistics, and service industries.
